Spirit of the games
Canada’s largest photo-mosaic: Over 13,000 Canadian faces represent the final tribute to Team Canada in a giant mural showcased at Molson’s Kitsilano brewery in Vancouver.(http://blog.molson.com/community/tag/molson-canadian-2010-mural-project/)(Would have been nice if Molson would have thrown in a couple of lights to light it at night…) Posted via email from...

Brett
I was really hoping Brett Favre would make it to another Superbowl. But despite a heckuva season, it just wasn’t meant to be. The Minnesota Vikings lost to the New Orleans Saints in overtime tonight, 31-28. Will he be back next next year? Who knows? In my mind and heart, however, Brett remains ones of the best players who has ever played this game. This year, his 19th season in the NFL, was...

The Olympic flame crossed into BC today. Former Alberta Premier Peter Lougheed carried the torch for the last leg of the run in his province before handing it over to Wally Buono, the general manager and head coach of the...

Sleepy time cruise
Looking up from my computer this week, I was shocked to see a cruise ship in its stocking dock. I usually see them between May and late October. But in mid-January?… Then I remembered. A lot of our winter olympics personnel will be housed on cruise ships in the harbour during the games. This will be one of them. Posted via email from lizg’s posterous | Comment »
